My husband made this rack for me. It's made from a 10ft. rain gutter. When he brought it home I thought that it would take years to fill. I was wrong. I spent one day just deciding which ribbon would be racked and which would be returned to a box. It ended up that I have two boxes of ribbon that won't fit into the rack. Card makers are always buying ribbon. At least I am, seems I never have the right color or shade, or the right width.
These are the cards that I made yesterday. I won't bore you by showing all of them. I'll just show a few close-ups.
These cards were started by using blanks that I received years ago. I didn't quite know what to do with them so I put them aside until the time was right. Yesterday the time was right. I don't even remember when I brought the paper doilies. I matched doilies to card blanks. Then I brought out one of my favorite rubber stamps. It just happens to be a cairn terrier. Makes me think of my fur-kids. I heat embossed the green paper doilies with emerald, the pink with amethyst, the blue with sapphire, and the orange with gold. Then I used glue sticks to adhere the doily to the card blank. Then I used these ribbon roses as the finishing touch. These cards are for Col. Potter Cairn Terrier Rescue Network. They will either be sent to members, or be sold to raise funds to rescue more needy little cairns.
Thanks For Dropping In
