Welcome! I started this blog because I love to craft. I dabble with scrap booking, and card making. I love bending, folding and tweaking paper. I try other crafts, too. I hope to share some projects with you.

My Introduction To ATC's

In March of 2011 I visited a friend in N.C. While I was there she talked me into trying my hand at making Artist Trading Cards. This one the first one that I made with her help. The background was first painted with two tones of paint. Since I like things that sparkle or shine of course I selected a pearl as the top coat. Then Ultra Thick Embossing powder was used twice. Before it had time to cool it was stamped into with a rubber stamp. The flower was punched from paper and also embossed twice with UTE. Cool.

The Second ATC background was made by drawing a pattern with white glue on a magazine picture. After the glue dried it was painted. Then it was rubbed with a metal polish that removed the paint from the glue leaving the part of the magazine picture preserved beneath the white glue. It really was a lot of fun. No wonder I was hooked on these little cards.

Before I left for home I had time for one last project. I covered a little chipboard album with scrap book paper and added some paper flowers.

I hope that you join me again some time soon.
Kathy
