Welcome! I started this blog because I love to craft. I dabble with scrap booking, and card making. I love bending, folding and tweaking paper. I try other crafts, too. I hope to share some projects with you.

I've Joined An ATC Swap Group

I bet that you've already guessed that by now I'm already tired of only seeing and owning by own ATC's. I want to hold in my hand some cards made by others, so I joined an ATC swap club. I was really nervous to join my first swap. A really talented lady from my own state emailed me and told me that if I would like we could just exchange two cards between us. That way I could get the feel for it. So I jumped right in.

This is the first that I made for her. I painted it with blue acrylic paint, then I dry brushed  it with silver. Then I gave it a light coat of blue glitter paint so that it would sparkle like water. Then I came back in with a touch of white for foam on top of the water. I put a heavy layer of glue on the bottom edge and then dipped it in sand. Then I draped a piece of an onion bag across the corner for a fishing net. I glued a couple of seashells on the net. Then I punched out a tiny flower and glued it on the toe of the flip flops. I added a tiny drop of glitter glue to the center of the flower. The words were written with a glitter pen on torn paper and inked with blue.

This card was started with mounting green vellum on card stock. Then I cut the poinsettia from a gift bag. The ribbon was cut from the handle.  I cut a small square of vellum and then cut a small square from the plastic corrugated liner in the box of chocolates (did I mention how good they were?). Then I painted a gold edge onto a poinsettia button. I dropped glue in the center and sprinkled gold glass beads into it. The foil leaves were confetti sprinkled in the gift bag.

Thanks For Dropping By
Kathy
