Welcome! I started this blog because I love to craft. I dabble with scrap booking, and card making. I love bending, folding and tweaking paper. I try other crafts, too. I hope to share some projects with you.

Wisteria Scrapbook Page

It's that time of year again. My Wisteria vine is in bloom. Once again I am out taking pictures of it. I do it every year. I thought that I would share a few pages that I finished a year or so ago. I don't really remember when I finished it. I'm always behind. Even though the page is dated, I'm sure it wasn't done that year. They never are.

I used green parchment scrapbook paper for the background. For the wisteria flowers I used double-sided purple parchment scrapbook paper. I used a circle punch for the petals. I folded the circle to form each petal. Before gluing them together I cut thin strips of dark purple for the stamens and glued them inside the petal. I laid one circle down on a scrap piece of scrap paper and glued it down. I layered each petal as I glued it down. I made three wisteria blooms. I cut one in half with a craft knife to make the center flower. Before attaching them to the page I made the vine by wrapping card stock around a bamboo skewer. I gently slid it off gluing it together as it came off the skewer. The tendrils were made by wrapping card stock around a pencil. I draped it across the page and glued it down. Then I glued down the wisteria blooms. I cut the leaves and the lettering with my Silhouette. They are cut from card stock. I used a sticker maker on the lettering and placed them on transparent vellum before attaching them with vellum tape. I mounted the centerpiece photo on purple card stock, then mounted it on green card stock. For the other photos I tore copy paper with a Fisker template edger. I chalked them with purple. The dragonfly is a rubber stamp image that I stamped on transparent vellum. I heat embossed it with marcasite embossing powder and cut it out and glued it in place.

Thanks For Visiting
Kathy
