These pages were all about having fun. Yes, they feature my two cairn terriers. I found the hats at the dollar store. I took them home and added foam teeth and then I took my two favorite models out to the lake to swim. My husband Mark held Skeeter and Cindy on leashes while I snapped the pictures. I used a photo editing program to remove the leashes from the pictures. The background is water. I really liked the way that it showed reflective light. I cropped and mounted my photos on white glitter paper. Then I randomly cut a blue foil paper with fish swimming and put it at the bottom of the page. Then I cut out grass scrapbook paper with my Silhouette. I then placed it over the blue foil paper. Then I went to the internet and found Peter Pan's croc and decided that he would do as my cartoon alligator. Using my Silhouette I made a print and cut out of him. Next I found the signs and made print and cuts from them. I glued them onto a coffee stirrer making the sign. Then I went back to my computer and opened Word Pad for my journaling. I know that so many just like me, don't really like to do journaling. This was different. I had fun with it. I wrote a newspaper article to tell the story. Within the article I put the four important things. Who, What, Where, and When. I then printed it on copy paper. I used scissors for the ragged torn edge. Then I used chalk to color it, making it look like newspaper. I glued it to a piece of the remaining blue foil paper. Now I placed everything where I wanted it and adhered it to my page. I then cut some fish out of the blue foil paper and put Glossy Accents on them making the matching fish embellishments. I hope that you enjoy these pages.

Question, were your dogs the reason the lake was closed or were there reallly alligators? The journalling makes is seem as though the lake had real alligators but the pictures make it seem as though your dogs were mistaken for alligators.
ReplyDeleteI'm so confused. Cute layout though.
LOL! Every year there are always sightings somewhere. Never real just imagined. So I wrote the article and made my own alligators. The article, the pictures, the whole thing was just for fun.
