Welcome! I started this blog because I love to craft. I dabble with scrap booking, and card making. I love bending, folding and tweaking paper. I try other crafts, too. I hope to share some projects with you.

Harvest Centerpiece

Today while doing housework I took a few minutes between folding clothes and loading the dishwasher to create a cute centerpiece for my mom.

Everything that was used on this centerpiece was purchased at the dollar store with the exception of the electric candles. They were my mom's. I brought them home from her farm a short time ago. I started by gluing together two plastic trays. I placed the candles where I wanted them. I made one taller by sitting it on an empty tuna can. Then I glued together the pumpkin and the gourd. Then I glued the crow scarecrow on another gourd and put it where I wanted it. Then I started hot gluing silk leaves around the base. For the finishing touch I wrapped it with ribbon and tied the ribbon with a double bow. It took about 30 minutes to create and cost about $7.00. I think that she will like it, especially when she realizes that I didn't glue anything to her candles.

Take Care
Kathy
