Welcome! I started this blog because I love to craft. I dabble with scrap booking, and card making. I love bending, folding and tweaking paper. I try other crafts, too. I hope to share some projects with you.

Sunflower Scrapbook Page

Fall has come and gone and so has the sunflowers. I love the big beautiful bright sunflower blooms. Probably not nearly as mush as the birds love the seeds that are sure to follow. I couldn't help myself I needed to save that bright happy color for always. These are the two pages that I came up with.

First I started with a scrapbook paper that was a field of sunflowers. I used a paper punch to make the sunflowers out of vellum. I used two punched flowers for each flower. I then used an embossing tool outside the edges and down the center of each petal. Then I used Tacky Glue to layer two flowers together. For the center I traced around a dime and cut out each circle. I then glued coffee ground on the circle making a textured center for each flower. I used the flowers to frame around one of my favorite pictures of my little Princess Cinny. By the way I made Cindy's little dress and her hat.

On this page I used two smaller pictures of Cinny and Skeeter. The frames around each picture were once again layered vellum punched flowers of a much smaller size. I used Walnut Stickles for the flower centers. I then edged transparent vellum with a gold ink pad. I then used my Silhouette to cut and layer the words. I used an even smaller punch to make and layer the tiny flowers. I glued them randomly in place. I'm sure this page will make me smile for years to come. I sure smiled a lot while making it.

Take Care
Kathy
