Welcome! I started this blog because I love to craft. I dabble with scrap booking, and card making. I love bending, folding and tweaking paper. I try other crafts, too. I hope to share some projects with you.

Birch Bark Frames Scrapbook Page

This week while waiting for ATC's to come in for a swap that I'm doing, I decided to work on a scrapbook page that I started a long time ago. A real long time ago. My husband Mark and I peeled the bark from fallen white birch trees while in the U. P. of Michigan. Years later I took it to a scrapbook store in Flint, and using one of their dies cut the frames. They were brittle and broke as they were cut. I finally took the time to mend and assemble them. The tags and the state were all cut from the same bark.

The little star on the U.P. shows where we were camping. Yes, we were camping. Nothing like waking up in the morning to snow on the tent! Sorry the pictures aren't straight and are a bit blurry. The only way that I could get pictures of them were with my camera. I can't scan anything that big. So I tossed them on the floor and took the pictures. These are the first pictures that I have ever done of my husband and me together. Working on this page sure brought back some wonderful memories. I have just got to do more of us together.

Take Care
