THESE ARE THE CARDS I MADE
I carefully cut around the lettering to get these three background pictures. I edged white card stock with pearlized green acrylic paint and mounted the rose photo. I then used a cutting die and my Wizard to cut the trellis from pearlized scrapbook paper. I glued it in place. Then I started searching for just the right roses. After looking through my stash and coming up empty, I started looking elsewhere. I found my perfect roses in of all places, the artificial geraniums on my porch! They are the blossoms that haven't opened yet. I glued them onto my card. I used a heart punch for the leaves. I cut them from green vellum. I cut each heart in half and folded them down the center, and tweaked the tip just a little. Then I glued them on.

These are so pretty. It would sure be nice if only they smelled as good as they look! Thanks so much for my beautiful roses.

Kathy, can you tell me who is the manufacturer of the trellis die? I've been looking for one like that! Your roses are lovely and I always enjoy reading about your creative process. Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteLove your Roses - artificial flowers have a lot more going for them than a vase!!! Just love how you combined them with a chocolate box, hooray for recycling.
ReplyDeleteYou had some lovely ones back.
Hi, Hollie, and Thanks! The die is by ProvoCraft. I've had it for years...I'm not sure that it is still available.
ReplyDeleteHi Christine, and thanks! LOL. I have so many artificial Flowers that are really picked over. I find that parts are so many times just what I need to finish an art project. I never throw any away.
