Welcome! I started this blog because I love to craft. I dabble with scrap booking, and card making. I love bending, folding and tweaking paper. I try other crafts, too. I hope to share some projects with you.

Pumpkin Swap N ATC For A Friend

Halloween got all over me this year. Even after the Halloween ATC swaps were over I still had the chance to jump into one last Pumpkin swap. So I did. This is the card that I made.

For this card I cut out a pumpkin die cut and the word Boo using my Silhouette. I used orange glitter paint to paint the pumpkin and the letters for the word BOO. I then colored tin foil yellow with a permanent maker. I crumpled up the foil and then carefully un-crumpled it. I ran the pumpkin through my sticker maker and then pressed it onto the foil and trimmed off the excess foil. Then looking through my scrapbook paper I found what I thought to be the perfect background for my pumpkin. It was a dark orange, almost brown it was that dark, with tiny flecks of orange, problem was that once I laid my pieces for the card onto it they were covered so I used three shades of Angelina fibers to bring back the sparkle. Boy, did they bring back the sparkle! I ran my background through my sticker maker and placed my Angelina fibers onto it. Then I glued down my pumpkin and word. I then tied a knot in a piece of orange ribbon and frayed the ends. I glued it onto the pumpkin stem.

Raeven Davis

A few weeks ago Raeven had a give-away of art supplies. I just didn't get this ATC done in time to enter, so while I was working on my Pumpkins swap I finished this card for Raeven. Better late then never.

This ATC started with black and white paper that I colored over with chalk to make the background purple. For no reason other than that was the color that I wanted. I then cut out the ravens and the word Raven with my Silhouette die cutting machine. I then used black glitter paint and painted them black. I used silver glitter Stickles over the black letters to make them really stand out. I used black Puffy paint to paint the branch that the ravens are perched on. I finished the card by edging it with double sided tape and applying black ribbon trim.
With Christmas just around the corner I'm working on two new books to share with you. These will make great gifts for someone special on your list...or maybe even for yourself. So be sure and come back often.

Take Care
