Welcome! I started this blog because I love to craft. I dabble with scrap booking, and card making. I love bending, folding and tweaking paper. I try other crafts, too. I hope to share some projects with you.

May Flowers ATC Swap

I entered a swap called "May Flowers" a few weeks ago. I love making paper flowers. So this was a want to do for me. Usually I make a different kind of flower, more dimensional. I wanted to try something different so I decided to use a Silhouette cutting machine file.

I decided to do a decoupage type flower so I resized a clump of tulips and cut them out. I then hand painted them and glued them onto the background. I made the background when I made my April Tag called "Spring Fever". The background was made by crumpling tissue paper and using Mod Podge pressing it onto a piece of white card stock, and then putting another coat of Mod Podge over the top of it. After it dried I painted it green with acrylic paint. All that was left to do was cut another copy of the tulips out and cut away all but the center of each tulip. I then painted the centers and using foam adhesive I layered them over the top of each tulip. I enjoyed making these. It was not my usual flower. I know that I will make flowers like this again sometime.

Wow! Aren't these gorgeous? Thank you ladies for your creativity. I really love my new paper bouquet. I will display them proudly on my wall, and later they will find a home in one of my albums. Once again thank you.

Take Care
